Julie was born in New York, NY but didn't grow up there. Her family was well known for their collection of exotic stones, that took their travels all over the world.

Julie graduated from Wells College, Program for the Arts in Paris. The Wells program, in affiliation with the Association Culturelle pour la Communication (ACCORD), is geared to take advantage of offering a unique combination of historical perspective, with an interactive approach to teaching the arts. It also offers the opportunity to master theory and practice, by combining courses in art and music history with extensive field trips and studio work.

Although home is Sydney, Australia, Julie still spends most of her time traveling the world to find beautiful priceless pieces for her collection and store.

Julie enjoys diving in Hawaii, whale watching in Alaska, ballooning over Ireland, parachuting in New Zealand and relaxing in Milan. Her birthday is January 6.
